Brauerei Fischer in Freudeneck

Great beer. The lager was very refreshing. Food was also excellent. If you journey out into the country side Brauerei Fischer is worth the trip.

Brauerei Sippel in Baunach

The beer was very good. The service was horrible. Both of the ladies working there were very slow and ignored us for most of our stay.

Brauerei zur Sonne in Bischberg

Wow! A great experience. The beer was good and the people were even better. Invited to sit at what could only be considered the stammtisch and was treated to a great evening.

Brauerei Eichhorn in Dörfleins

Great brauerei. I have been there twice and loved it both times. First time had the bock and it was very good. Yesterday had the keller and it was very refreshing after a bike ride.

Wagner Bräu in Oberhaid

Bad beer, man. Very bad beer. Although we did meet a nice gentleman there who made the experience a little more enjoyable.

Brauerei Maisel in Bamberg

I agree, the Bock bier is very good. Was able to put down 7 at the bockbieranstich last week. Friendly people, nice beer garden. Appears to be newly romodeled on the inside with a lite colored wood. I'll be back.

Kaiserdom in Bamberg
Comment from scott rankin on 3/10/2005 4:26:20 AM
Beer was so-so and the atmosphere was very stale. Not the place I will go back to to knock a few back.

Brauerei Spezial in Bamberg
Comment from scott rankin on 3/10/2005 4:22:41 AM
Wow. The beer is awesome. Definitely at the top of my list. Goes down very smooth and is more mild then Schlenkerla. It is all personal preference, but I prefer Spezial. We have also been lucky to have great service with a very helpful waitress we usually see. One of the jewels of Bamberg.

Brauerei Knoblach in Schammelsdorf

Very inviting place. The beer was very good and the locals were most friendly with a couple going out of their way to talk to us. I will be back.

Brauerei Barnikel in Herrnsdorf
Comment from scott rankin on 2/7/2005 10:51:51 PM
I must be missing something because I didn't think this place was that great. It definitely had some old world charm, but the beer I would say is average and the food wasn't the best. Maybe we hit it on an off night.

Brauerei Keesmann in Bamberg

I agree, the Sternla is outstanding.

Ambräusianum in Bamberg
Comment from scott rankin on 2/2/2005 3:23:35 AM
I agree it is very nice inside, but the beer leaves very much to be desired. I have been here numerous times hoping it would get better, but it hasn't.

Brauerei Hübner in Steinfeld

Fantastic beer. Homely atmosphere. A definite must drink. I will be back.

Brauerei Göller in Drosendorf
Comment from scott rankin on 9/8/2004 3:37:46 AM
Herr Goller is great, most of the time. Good beer and wonderful dorf. Bob and Andrew give this quaint town its old world charm.

Brauerei Sauer in Rossdorf am Forst
Comment from scott rankin on 7/27/2004 5:56:07 AM
Awesome. The food was good and the beer was great. All of it was very, very reasonably priced. I'll be back.

Klosterbräu in Bamberg

Awesome beer. Great taste and i second that motion about the Braun Bier. Also very friendly service and some attractive waitresses that you wouldn't expect in a brewery.

Brauerei Fässla in Bamberg
Comment from scott rankin on 11/13/2003 3:49:42 AM
Great Bock Bier, although others in my party thought it was a little too strong. The hefeweizen is also outstanding. There is something to be said about gnomes who drink beer.

Wagnerbräu in Kemmern

Great beer and great times, but then again would you expect anything less.
