| Some sad news was shared with me earlier that Mrs. Heckel of the one-of-a-kind Brauerei Heckel has passed away. I'll never forget the kindness and warmth she exuded while serving gravity pours to her patrons at the family's charming brewpub out in the boonies. This feels like a pretty big loss, but let's wish the two sons much success and prosperity should they continue to carry the torch as I am confident they will. A truly special experience it always was, drinking the hazy vollbier from the barrel inside that cozy space. Thank you, Mrs. Heckel. |
