|Disagree, Mahr's U used to be excellent. And I have personally spoken to former Mahr locals now frequenting Keesmann. Herr Michel is nothing if not PR conscious.|
I presume when you say 'Tankovna' you are referring to the way beer is dispensed in many pubs in Prague and Czechia. As far as I am aware, and I may be wrong, the practice of filling up large plastic bags within a tank (from a tanker) is largely only practisced in Czechia. It allows for dispense without gas touching the beer because the tanks are filled with carbon dioxide which forces the beer from the plastic bags (for want of a better description). Very similar to some British methods of dispense I guess. This is why Czech Tankovna beer is (for me) so good; no artificial carbonation and a beautiful well built natural head which lasts right to the end. In this respect, it is akin to gravity.
Spezial certainly uses gas dispense to bring their beer from the fermentation tanks. Mahrs I don't know, I have seen kegs in the Schwemme but they could be there for whatever reason.
I am certain that neither use Tankovna style dispense.
