The Mahr's Brau

No, I do mean a 1000 litre "inliner" as Franz Roppelt calls it, within a tank laid on its side, and then forced out by compressed air. Also in use at your favourite Rittmayer. And now, the last 2 or 3 years at Griess Keller.

I don't know how uncommon it is or not, it may be an adaptation from soft drink dispense at stadiums and other big service events.

I'll ask next time I'm at Mahr's.

Fair enough call on Stephan; I used to sort of dislike him for the very reasons you give, but then I spent some time drinking and chatting with him away from Mahr's, in N├╝rnberg and Erlangen, (Steinbach) of all places. He's actually quite humble IMO, just really lucky with looks and smoothness.
