Oh I'm sure those that come to Bamberg on holiday will still enjoy the breweries in the city without much difficulty but for us residents it is true - I much prefer a trip out to the country.

Faessla is another one I rarely go in. They have so many outlets now and (I hear) are reducing lagering times on their beer because they don't have capacity.

Fortunately the Kneipe scene in Bamberg remains excellent.
