Franconia Beer Message Board

Frohe Weihnachten!

Weather's turned positively Oregonian Xmas here: damp, not-quite-cold, and grey. That's OK though. Last night's Hebendanz Winter Zauber Festbier (5.3%) was unfortunately a mess, and I  dumped it after a few sips. The only other Franconian beer of the day was a new one, from whatever-brauerei in Lauf, 33 ml bottle of somewhat hoppy Hopperla (5.1%), which was nice. A bit buttery though.

Today will see me try my first Meister Festbier of the year. The rest will likely be Czech, Belgian, and Yankee beer. Bateman's Rosey Nosey was also very nice yesterday.

Only an hour or so to drive from there to MAN? I remember our train from Bangor took some 3 hours, though that is further away than Colwyn Bay.
