Döner coming From London to Bamberg

The first doner sold in UK in 1966, well I certainly do remember eating them in north London about that time, if not earlier.  Remember visiting friends in London in 1966 and trying one and there were loads of kebab places.  Can't believe that they all sprang up over night.
