And I should point out "expensive" is relative. I was upset to pay 2x maybe 2.5x for a mug of Únětice near Charles Bridge. Then I realized it was about $5 rather than $2 elsewhere. Compared to LA (and I'd guess Boston) prices it was still cheap.

Hotels in the Old Town tend to have rates comparable to other European cities.
