| Well, the first five days of my month in Franken have been hectic and, actually, downright crazy. To be honest, I was a bit apprehensive about my first solo visit but all my beer friends have been great and made it a lot easier than I thought it would be - thanks to you all, old and new. Highlights have been our hhike from Tiefenellern to Memmelsdorf on Saturday, ending in Catweasle's Castle, which meant that I didn't make it back to Ebensfeld that night! Thanks Mark and Bill for the hospitality. Yesterday's trip to Grasmannsdorf aand Moenchsambach was special, with great beer and a jolly singsong with the friendly locals in Zehedner. So, only 27 days to go - will I survive? Today is going to be a rest day, much needed. |
