See, "almonds, cake, etc." sounds like "malty". In a good way. In the correct and proper way.

Maybe I've known and used the term 'malty' for so long as a homebrewer and homebrew judge (retired...both, actually...) that it's clear to me what it means, though maybe not to those not as obsessed with it as I am.

I've been there a few times, though not in recent years. Would never consider anything bottled there, except to take home. (You scandalous tongue!)

Not only lovely inside, but outside at the tables out back, watching the tractors haul manuer around the church...an ideal, pastoral rustic beer-drinking setting. In fact, I led the Nebraskans there by coach a few years ago. Highly recommended.
