The only thing about the Ferienwohnungs is that they normally prefer longer stays. Backpackers Bamberg is a hostel that is just off Luitpoldstrasse (near Spezial) and they have very affordable and comfortable single rooms as well as typical dorm style accomodation. They have a website.
