Trip to Based out of Bamberg

I second both of Barry's suggestions.  If you have been to Merkendorf yet it's well worth it.  Easy to get to from Bamberg and two nice breweries to visit.  If yoiu do decide on Forchheim you can also drink the Drugendorf beer right from the barrel at this place which is not far from Neder:  http://www.vogelgaessler.de/mod/Biere.php
