Day of beer,worth it?

I will be in Ingolstadt 22/23 April 2016. Which I see is the same time as the Day of beer in Bamberg.I will admit to being no great fan of crowds,and have put off visiting this in the past.But at a mere 1 hour 6 mins ICE ride away,could well be tempted. I know that all opinions will be subjective,but I would welcome them very much.Is it worth the trip?
