Many years ago, we went to look at Terry Jones' brewery in mid-Wales but it was quite bolted and barred.  Don't know whether this was a serious venture.

To be fair to the pubs that we visited, most of them go to some lengths to indicate something about the beer.  The Albert in Llandudno is a real community pub; it gives a 10% discount to Camra members (tried to talk my way unsuccesfully into this, not being a Camra member - yet!) and readily offers little samples of its ever changing beer menu.  They roped us into their quiz night - quite embarrassing really, as we were the lowest scorers - this in spite of our multiple degrees etc., and in spite of some help on popular music and TV questions from 3 lads who were members of a pop band featuring in 'Dirty Dancing' at the local theatre!  Actually, they weren't a lot of help but were good company.

I've never done well in pub quizzes even though I do quite well in answering questions on University Challenge.  Don't know why.

Tabor might not be  wolf, hyena or jackal but there are some hairy looking beasts in Britain - actually, not sure whether that menu was meant for the dogs or their owners.
