OT: 4% vs. 5% ABV - Bigger Difference than You Might Think

Thanks Nick, that's a really good article.  Thinking back to my youth ( long time ago!), I suppose that most of the beer that we were drinking was between 3 and 4% (I'll look up some of the real figures after I've had my morning shower - running a bit late this am).  We regularly drank between 4 and 8 pints but, and I suppose youth is helpful here, never got particularly drunk - that had to wait until we started to drink cheap wine and ocaasional spirits at parties.  In fact, before the drink driving laws were tightended up, we used to drive the 8 miles into the centre of Manchester, drink our quota, and drive home.  Personally, in a, say, 6 year period, I neve had a mishap - mind you, there weren't that many cars on the road at that time.
