| The Language Center is the only one I have any experience. Conveniently located a couple of blocks from where we lived in our first few years here, too. But then, they pay *me* to train English, so make of that what you will...:) The LC does a lot of business with students intending to study at the Uni here. They normally spend a year in the intensive course to get to level C2 on the EU/Goethe system. I know a couple of teachers who also do private lessons outside the school, about half the price, but then without an invoice so no tax write-off for you. My missus did that and learnt a huge amount in two 25-hour weeks one-on-one with my trainer. Lots of Brazillian Siemens wives in the courses too. Siemens seems to have Brazillians on 2- or 4-year assignments here, and the spouses can partake of the language courses. So that's a bonus. |
