| From Franken to the Oberpfalz in one jump - well, 6 weeks actually. We are now safely ensconced in our 'new' fewo in Eschawo and very nice it is too, 20 metres from Wolframstube and not more than a 100 metres from all the other stub'n and the brauerei. Nothing much has changed in 9 months (one of the attractions of the place), except that Wolfram has a new brewer and their beer seems to have definitely improved - last night it was very drinkable. The Schwannere stammtisch continues as ever, with most of the usual suspects and excellent beer from Robert Sperber. We had a quick walk to Kaeck'n last night (J storming up the hill to Neuhaus after all the exercise in Franken last month) and H. Schoenberger's Zoigl was in absolutely tip-top form. So, we're here until at least August 9 (no return flight booked yet!) and hope to welcome some Forummers to Der Hauptstadt des Zoigl during our stay! |
