An article (in German) about this question:
http://www.herbstfest-rosenheim.de/mittendrin/aktuell/ovb-serie-wiesn-mass-oder-mass-herbstfest-900961.html

The Word Mass/Maß only exists in the bavarian language. To speak with a short "a".
But many people from other parts of Germany speak this word with a long "a".
On the webiste of the "Duden", an unofficial editorial office for the German language, You can find an emphasis for "Mass" with a long "a". (click the sign under the word "Betonung").
http://www.duden.de/rechtschreibung/Masz_Menge_Bier_Liter

So You have to decide: Do You want to speak like a Prussian or like a Bavarian? As a Franconian (Franke?) You should order "a seidla" and then the next.
