Afaik, the beers that are awarded gold medals in the European Beer Star tasting (which is today, but the winners are only announced on the friday of the BB) are on offer on the wednesday for the public to taste. In this blind testing the visitors that take part determine the Consumer's Favourite (Gold, Silver, Bronze) which are also announced on the friday. http://european-beer-star.com/ebs_en/gewinner/rueckblick/gewinner2010.php?navid=8
