Oh yes! I can hook you up with a CAMRA mate of mine who lives in Middleton and knows Manc very well if you're looking for company. A couple of pub tips from me personally: The Angel right in Manc and The Crescent towards Salford. Both should have examples of what I'm always going on about, the post-modern, *low*-gravity, highly citric-hopped trans-Atlantic Golden Ales. The latter's house beer, Crescent Pale from Mallinson's, is absolutely superb. The City Arms is also fantastic. As if you needed to hear about pubs in your part of the world from someone from my part of the world! Flying to NUE this time then? Scarborough would be our base with walking, possibly biking, and pub-going along the coast between there and Whitby. Robin Hood's Bay looks charming, though perhaps over-touristed. But now we're thinking of Pembrokeshire instead of Scarborough.
