Price of a Seidla |

| €3,50 for a Seidla is a smidge dear, but not horrible. If it was a full Mass, different story, but no: a Mass is €6,80 this year at Annafest. Just for comparison's sake (and ObNotFranconianBeer), two 0,25l glasses of Uerige Alt at the main pub in Düsseldorf will run you €3,40, so four of those little glasses (a Mass, in other words) is the same as a Mass at Annafest. Big city prices indeed! Just for the odd comparison's sake, 5500 miles away in Seattle, I can go to a pub not far from home and get a Seidla of Zwick'l Kellerbier (Bayreuther Bierbrauerei, an old brewery brand taken over by Maisel) on draught, in surprisingly good form, for $US 5.50. That's €3,80 at current exchange rates. |
