Cucumbers: what are the recommendations?

Maybe "she" only likes the water in Erlangen though... I rehydrate it as the package says: 4 oz or so of boiled 90F water, sprinkle, cover, look at it at 5, 10, and 15 minute intervals and when it's clear that it's coming to life (frothing up a bit, not just lying there on the bottom of the pot), then start adding wort to bring the temp down to within 5F or so of pitching temp. And I don't really oxygenate the wort, other than what occurs from dumping from the brewkettle into the fermenting kettle, through a strainer to catch the hops. They say oxygenating ain't necessary with these new-fangled dry yeasts.
