Best Beer Towns in England

Manchester, of course, but I'm a bit biased. I could also recommend Bath, which is a beautiful place, full of historic interest, not very big and, at least when I was there a few years ago, full of decent pubs. Also, a quick bus or train ride to Bristol, where you have another decent selection.
