Bus from Bamberg to Herrnsdorf and Sambach

It looks like that Keller is only open Fridays & Saturdays after 17.00, and Sundays after 14.00...not good for busing. Würste from their own butchery though--hey, surprise! No, you shouldn't have to change buses at Sambach. I think that the stretch from Sambach-Schlüsselfeld is geographically located within the Nürnberg transit system region, and so it gets a VGN line number there. Look at the schedule: The bus continues directly on from Sambach. Paying: Generally, you can pay in cash as you enter a bus. In Bamberg itself, on the city bus lines (8227 ain't one of these though), you can buy a ticket from a machine at a stop and then either validate it there at the stop or in the bus, I forget which. You're a foreigner; you will not be expected to understand how or how much to pay. The driver may or may not display what you might perceive as irritation at your not knowing beforehand what exactly to do--that's his problem. Board the bus, and simply say "Herrrrnsdorf, bitte", rolling your "r". The driver should tell you what to pay (and give change), and will probably give you a ticket. Better yet, say "Brrrauerei Barrrneekehl in Herrrrnsdorf, bitte." But I've not taken an OVF bus that I can recall, so I'm just estimating. Martin?
