Bamberg hotels question

Good thing to think about. These last few days, we've been having upper-80's (F) or even warmer temperatures, with more humidity than I'm personally fond of. Before we moved here, we were quite concerned about not having AC, but as we've learned, a house built of concrete blocks resists summer heat much better than one built of wood and sheetrock does. (Our house also benefits from being brand new, with maybe 10cm of styrofoam stuck to the outside walls as well as thick, solidly built windows.) We roll down the shutters in front of the sun-facing windows during the day, and the house in general stays surprisingly comfortable without AC--and the electric bills associated therewith. If the rooms in Spezial or Fässla are on the top floor, with the building's roof comprising the ceiling of the rooms, then I'd suspect they could get quite hot indeed. If they're not, well, you might be fine without AC. IF YOU BRING ALONG A BEDSHEET. The utterly bizzare concept that the Germans have of bedding is miserable when it's warm--this duvee' thing or whatever it is. Bring along a bedsheet of your own to sleep under regardless of where you stay, I say. Heck, I haven't been up to Bamberg in a while, I suppose I could drop in and peek at the rooms on a nice hot day. Still have to check out this special beer JezzaP mentioned at the Mahrs Keller...... The IBIS in Bamberg does indeed appear to be AC-equipped ("Klimaanlage" in the "Zimmerausstattung"--how the room is outfitted--section).
