On the way to Bamberg...

Might as well start a new thread for this query. Following on from the query re stopping off at Treuchtlingen, the same thought crossed my mind as earlier in the year: is it worth stopping off anywhere en route from Leipheim to Bamberg. The journey is in four parts: Leipheim - Donauwurth - Treuchtlingen - Nuremburg - Bamberg. There's not much available on the first and second legs, while the last leg can be covered from Bamberg. So, between Treuchtlingen and Nuremburg, we have the following options, all reasonably accesible from the station: Weissenberg (Schneider & Sigwart) Ellingen (Furstliches Brauhaus) Pleinfeld (Kleines Pleinfled - is this actually open?) Roth (Stadtbrauerei) Schwabach (Leitner) Is anyone familiar with any of these and are they worth breaking the journey for? As a possible gamebreaker with spouse, are any of the towns interesting in themselves? Thanks in anticipation.
