Wide-mouth Demijohn in the US

Thanks Don, I know about the different ways of doing these things, it's simply trying to remember them when typing out a quick message to the forum. Are German speakers, for example, that senstive to a missing umlaut (I know that it can change some meanings) or the odd typo?
